The Archive Trust

Our mission, public & privacy usages, and getting into contact with us

We’re a small friends & family-owned organization, based out of Kentuckiana, that’s dedicated towards preserving historical information in an era where history is being forgotten, or erased.
We primarily focus on the American Civil War, and the American Revolutionary War.

This project initially formed through an ideal of having a simplistic blog focusing on the American Civil War. However, growth being upon us, we’ve set our sights on additional topics of American history that’s steadily being populated with content.

Our primarily goal is the continuation of steady expansion with our archives.

Our Agenda

We hold no political agenda through this archive. Being an archive of information, we feel that it’s quite important, or just down-right reliant on taking a neutral stance so that we’re able to view things with a more clear, and unbiased perspective. Granted, we’re still human, and we’re not a team of lawyers, but the beauty of holding a neutral stance clears the path for us in our research, and archival habits of content.

We’re entirely about transparency with this project. Our content published throughout this website is generally the usages of public domain, and as such, it’s free for you to redistribute, or take bits and pieces for research. That’s the whole ideal behind our archive — nothing that’s secluded behind a payment. History should to be shared, freely.

Generally, we’re not collecting any form of hard-data on you. We run a few analytical bits to see general viewership habits, and what our researchers (you) seem to be interested in so that we can then take that information, and focus on providing more content in those fields.

Our analytical statistics (Google, Cloudflare) do all of the backbone tracking for us, and we fall under the arena of their acceptable usage policies accordingly. We’re not storing your personal information on our website, nor have access to it.

The information we are storing is purely analytical based: Country, Pages Visited, Device Used (to improve cross-platform compatibility).
